Get to know Philipp Groz
Philipp Groz is a partner in our Intellectual Property / Information Technology Group and in our Dispute Resolution Group in Zurich. He specializes in domestic and international litigation and arbitration, particularly in the fields of intellectual property, unfair competition, licensing and distribution. He further has special expertise related to the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards and the freezing of assets in Switzerland. He also regularly advises clients on non-contentious matters in the field of intellectual property, licensing and distribution.
Philipp Groz studied law at the Universities of Fribourg and Zurich and graduated in 2001. He was admitted to the Zurich Bar in 2004. Before joining Schellenberg Wittmer as an associate in 2005, he worked as a court secretary and substitute judge at the District Court of Zurich. He earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with specialization in intellectual property from New York University School of Law in 2007.
He is a member of several professional associations, including the Swiss and Zurich Bar Associations, the International Trademark Association, the Licensing Executives Society, and the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle.
